One of the most important of services. The oral examination is used to diagnose oral disease. The entire mouth including gums, soft tissues, bone, joints, individual teeth and muscles are examined. We examine these structures with feel and sight. The dentist may recommend that you have some radiographs (X-rays) taken to see structures and anomalies that may not be visible with the human eye alone.

It’s in exams like these that we can diagnose cavities, gum disease, orthodontic problems and oral cancer. It is for this reason that the oral exam is so important. We recommend an exam every 6 months and most private health insurance companies will cover the majority of the cost of these.
